He went on to attend the University of Oklahoma, where he was a member of the 1987 Big 8 Championship football team. Before entering private practice, Mr. Putnam served with distinction first in the United States Marine Corps, then as an officer in the United States Air Force before retiring at the rank of Major. During his service, he served in various commander roles and was involved in combat operations, earning recognition for his performance, including the Bronze Star. His military background continues to influence his leadership style, decision-making, and commitment to accountability and results.
In recognition of his professional and service achievements, Mr. Putnam was inducted into the Del City High School Hall of Fame in 2013 and received the Distinguished Alumni Award from Rose State College in 2014. He remains an active supporter of the Rose State Alumni Association.
